Simhachalam, May 05, 2026: Sri Jallepalli Venkata Rao, the Executive Officer of the temple, has issued an important announcement regarding the sale of Chandana Prasadam (sandalwood paste offering) of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy of Simhagiri.

He stated that, taking into consideration the requests from devotees and the prevailing crowds, certain changes have been made to the distribution schedule.

For this week, the Chandana Prasadam will be available on only one day: Wednesday, May 6th.  In response to the requests of devotees, the sale of Chandana Prasadam will resume next week—specifically on the 11th and 12th (Monday and Tuesday)—starting from 8:00 AM. Only 1,000 packets will be available per day. The price per packet is just Rs. 10/-. To ensure transparency, devotees are required to carry their Aadhaar card (either the original or a photocopy) with them. Chandana Prasadam will be issued only to those who present their Aadhaar card, limited to one packet per individual.

Devotees traveling from distant places are requested to take note of these schedule changes and plan their visits accordingly. The Executive Officer appeals to devotees to cooperate with the temple staff in a disciplined manner while strictly adhering to the queuing system at the counters.
