Sri Sri Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Simhachalam Simhachalam Temple Hundi Revenue: Rs 2.21 Crores

Simhachalam: Indian News Times:June 02, 2026 :Jallepalli Venkata Rao, the Executive Officer of the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam, announced that a total revenue of Rs 2,21,12,845 was realized during the hundi (offering box) counting exercise conducted at the temple on Tuesday.

The hundis, covering a 20-day period from the 13th of last month to June 2nd, were counted within the temple premises amidst stringent security arrangements. Through these hundis, devotees offered 54 grams and 800 milligrams of gold, and 9 kilograms and 150 grams of silver.


In terms of cash, Rs 2,07,57,560 was received in the form of currency notes and Rs 13,55,285 in coins, bringing the total recorded revenue to Rs 2,21,12,845. Officials revealed that the average daily revenue amounted to Rs 11.05 lakhs.


The hundi counting program was conducted under the supervision of Executive Officer Jallepalli Venkata Rao. The counting process was carried out amidst robust security measures, in the presence of District Endowments Department officials Bandaru Prasad and Sridhar, Temple Security SPF police forces, and under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.  Members of the Board of Trustees—Karakademudu, Mahesh, and Sanyasirao—participated in the program. Additionally, Deputy Executive Officer Singam Radha, Assistant Executive Officers Vadrevu Ramanamurthy and Pantham Srinivas, along with supervisory officers, officials from the Engineering Department, staff, and Srihari Seva volunteers, took part in the counting of the hundi collections.

Officials stated that devotees had also deposited foreign currency from various countries—including the USA, UAE, Oman, Singapore, Canada, and Kuwait—into the hundis.
