GM, SOUTH COAST RAILWAY REVIEWS WORKSITE SAFETY AND RAILMADAD PERFORMANCE*

Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:Shri Sandeep Mathur, General Manager, South Coast Railway (SCoR), conducted a review meeting on Worksite Safety, RailMadad complaint management, and passenger grievance redressal at the SCoR Headquarters.

During the meeting, General Manager stressed that safety at worksites must remain the foremost priority across the Zone. He instructed all departments to ensure strict adherence to prescribed safety protocols, provide adequate safety equipment to staff, and maintain constant supervision of worksites to eliminate unsafe practices. He emphasized that a strong safety culture is essential for safeguarding both railway employees and passengers.


Reviewing the performance of the RailMadad grievance redressal system, Shri Sandeep Mathur directed officials to focus on reducing the number of pending complaints by ensuring their prompt disposal. He emphasized that every passenger complaint should receive a timely, professional, and satisfactory response, with quality feedback provided after resolution. He instructed departments to closely monitor complaint trends, identify recurring issues, and take preventive measures to improve overall service delivery and passenger satisfaction.

The meeting was attended by the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) of South Coast Railway and the Divisional Railway Managers of the four divisions—Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal—who reviewed the status of safety initiatives and grievance redressal mechanisms in their respective jurisdictions and discussed measures for further improvement.
