Amalapuram:Indian News Times :A significant step has been taken to establish advanced cancer treatment facilities at KIMS, Amalapuram, with the aim of providing superior medical care to cancer patients from the Ambedkar Konaseema and undivided Godavari districts. Through the initiative of KIMS chief Chaitanya Raju, a cancer treatment center has been set up at a cost of ₹36 crore, featuring specialized and modern equipment such as a High-Energy Linear Accelerator and a CT Simulator. Ravi Varma, son of Chaitanya Raju, stated that these facilities were established to provide affordable cancer treatment to 


underprivileged and vulnerable families in the Konaseema and undivided East Godavari regions. He noted that the necessary infrastructure is ready and modern radiation therapy facilities have been installed, marking a crucial milestone in the establishment of the cancer treatment center.  


Ravi Varma urged the public to utilize the advanced, corporate-standard cancer treatment facilities established in government hospitals across Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada, noting that approximately ₹36 crore had been spent on technical equipment for this purpose. Specialists in advanced cancer care and chemotherapy, medical staff, and others participated in the event.
