Dr. K. K. Sowjanya Awarded Ph.D. at GITAM University


Visakhapatnam : Indian News Times:Dr. K. K. Sowjanya, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Visakhapatnam, was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at the 17th Convocation of GITAM (Deemed to be University) held on 23 August 2026 at the Visakhapatnam Campus.

She received her Ph.D. degree from the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, in the presence of the dignitaries of GITAM University.


Dr. K. K. Sowjanya pursued her doctoral research under the able guidance of Dr. T. Surendra. Her thesis is titled “Novel Cryptosystems Using Automatic Theorem Proving and Enhanced Sequent Techniques.” Her research work focuses on innovative approaches to cryptography using advanced mathematical and computational techniques.

Dr. Sowjanya has been serving as an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s College for Women for the past 18years. Her dedication to teaching, academic pursuits and research has been greatly appreciated by the institution.
