DRM Conducts Surprise Inspection at Visakhapatnam Railway Station

 

Visakhapatnam:Indian News Times:August 26, 2026 Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Visakhapatnam, conducted a surprise inspection of Visakhapatnam Railway Station on August 26, 2026, to review passenger amenities, cleanliness and station facilities.During the inspection, the DRM visited the waiting halls and One Station One Product (OSOP) stall, and reviewed the facilities available for passengers. He emphasized the need for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the station premises.

Key Directions During InspectionThe DRM directed that additional dustbins be provided at appropriate locations to facilitate proper disposal of waste.

He emphasized the provision and proper maintenance of twin dustbins at catering outlets to promote segregation and better waste management.

Directions were given to further improve cleanliness and upkeep of the station premises.

Suggestions were given for the upgradation and improvement of waiting hall facilities to provide greater comfort and convenience to passengers.

A suitable location was identified for conducting the 100 Years of Station Mahotsava celebrations.

The DRM stressed that passenger amenities, cleanliness and overall station upkeep should receive continuous attention, with a focus on providing a clean, comfortable and passenger-friendly environment.

All Branch Officers accompanied the Divisional Railway Manager during the inspection and reviewed the various aspects of station facilities and operations.

The inspection reflects the Division's continued commitment towards enhancing passenger amenities, improving cleanliness and upgrading station facilities at Visakhapatnam.
