Visakhapatnam :Indian News Times:General Manager, South Coast Railway, Shri Sandeep Mathur, conducted a comprehensive two-day inspection of important stations and railway infrastructure across Guntur and Vijayawada Divisions, reviewing ongoing developmental works, passenger amenities, station facilities and future infrastructure planning.On the second day of the inspection, Shri Sandeep Mathur commenced his inspection at Mangalagiri Railway Station, where he reviewed passenger amenities and modern facilities developed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). He interacted with station officials to obtain first-hand feedback on the upgraded infrastructure, passenger conveniences and last-mile connectivity, and emphasized the need for continuous improvement in service quality and passenger experience. The inspection was accompanied by DRM, Guntur, Smt. Sudheshna Sen, along with Principal Heads of Departments of South Coast Railway.General Manager subsequently reviewed the progress of Rail Over Rail (RoR) works at Rayanapadu, emphasizing timely completion, adherence to quality standards and strict compliance with safety protocols to enhance operational efficiency and capacity. DRM, Vijayawada, Shri Mohit Sonakiya, along with Principal Heads of Departments of South Coast Railway, accompanied the General Manager during the inspection and further inspections in the Division.
At Rayanapadu Railway Station, Shri Sandeep Mathur reviewed various station facilities, passenger amenities and developmental works undertaken under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Further, at Gangineni Station, he conducted a thorough inspection and reviewed the availability and upkeep of passenger amenities and other station facilities. The inspection further covered Errupalem, where Shri Sandeep Mathur conducted a detailed review of yard planning and the proposed Nambur Line. He examined the proposed alignment of the railway track and station and offered valuable suggestions to optimise the alignment and planning, with a view to facilitating efficient railway operations and future infrastructure development.Concluding the two-day inspection, the General Manager inspected Madhira Railway Station and reviewed various developmental works being undertaken at the station. He assessed the progress of infrastructure improvements and passenger facilities, emphasizing timely completion, quality execution and sustained maintenance of the developed assets.
