Grand Celebration of 80th Independence Day at VIMS


Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:August 15:The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held with great grandeur at the Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS). On this occasion, VIMS Director Dr. V. Manmadha Rao hoisted the national flag and paid tribute to the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manmadha Rao stated that we are living in an atmosphere of freedom today thanks to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. He urged every citizen to fulfill their responsibilities towards the nation's development and specifically called upon the medical staff to contribute to national progress by providing quality healthcare services to the public.


A large number of doctors, nursing staff, administrative officers, and employees from VIMS Hospital participated in the event. They saluted the national flag and sang the national anthem. Subsequently, staff members who had rendered exceptional service were appreciated and felicitated.


Speaking at the event, Deputy Srinivas Kumar noted that India has pioneered numerous innovations and holds a position of eminence globally, acting as a 'big brother' to neighboring nations and maintaining a robust foreign policy.


 He declared that if everyone performs their duties responsibly—inspired by patriotism and the spirit of freedom fighters—the country will progress across all sectors. Hospital Administrator Dr. ...  Manoj Kumar, Nursing Superintendent Smt. Sugeetha Swarnalatha, Office Superintendent Sri Satyanarayana, and RMO Dr. Shirisha were present, along with heads of departments, doctors, nursing staff, administrative personnel, and students. Everyone saluted the national flag and expressed their patriotic spirit.


The hospital premises were beautifully decorated in the colors of the tricolor flag to mark Independence Day. Director Dr. V. Manmadha Rao stated that these celebrations symbolized patriotism, a spirit of service, and national unity. He affirmed that they would continue to provide even better medical services to the public.
