Housing facilities must be provided to journalists – MLA Galla Madhavi* *MLA Galla Madhavi raises journalists' issues in the Assembly*

Amaravati Indian: News Times: Velagapudi :During the 'Zero Hour' of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly's monsoon session held at Velagapudi, Amaravati, Guntur West MLA Smt. Galla Madhavi raised issues concerning journalists.

MLA Galla Madhavi stated that journalists, acting as the fourth pillar of democracy, perform the crucial responsibility of bringing societal injustices, public issues, and government welfare programs to the people's attention.

She noted that a large number of print, electronic, and digital media reporters working at the grassroots level earn very low wages, making the construction of their own homes a major challenge.

She mentioned that journalists face numerous difficulties due to the lack of job stability and fixed working hours in their profession.

MLA Galla Madhavi explained that government incentives, such as health cards and housing schemes, would provide social security to journalists' families.

She recalled how journalist colonies were established in areas like Jubilee Hills during the era of the united Andhra Pradesh.

The MLA described Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as a leader who views every section of society as his own family and strives for their upliftment.

With the aim of providing housing facilities to journalists in the bifurcated Andhra Pradesh, G.O. No. ...  They recalled the issuance of G.O.s 67 and 107.

Through the House, they requested Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to implement those orders and provide house sites or housing facilities to accredited journalists in every district of the state.
