Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:On this day, 27.08.2026, Dr. P. Jagadeeswara Rao, DMHO, Visakhapatnam, led the ART and Surrogacy inspection team to
conduct inspections at Medci Hospital & IVF Center (ART Level-2, Health City), Sri Viswa Fertility Center (ART Level-2, Siripuram), and Vizag IVF Center (which had applied for surrogacy center renewal). During the inspection, Dr. Jagadeeswara Rao provided various instructions to the management of these centers.
He inspected the operation theaters, wards, and scanning equipment. He verified the operational licenses for the ART centers, checked the educational qualifications of the doctors and staff as well as the laboratory equipment, and offered appropriate advice. He also urged the centers to offer reduced fees for patients from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The inspection team included Dr. Vidyarama (Gynecologist, VGH), Dr. Sushma (Radiologist, KGH), Mr. K. Shivaji (Monitoring Consultant), Dr. B. Umavathi (DPMO), Mr. B. Nageswara Rao (DEMO), and other members.
