Allavaram: Indian News Times :The village of Odalarevu erupted in joy upon the return of the fishermen who had gone missing at sea. It was noted that three individuals from Bengal played a crucial role in saving the lives of these seven men.
Their return brought boundless happiness to their families. Villagers, family members, and Member of Parliament Ganti Harish Madhur accorded a grand welcome on Friday to the seven fishermen who had arrived from West Bengal. The seven fishermen, who had gone missing after setting out from Odalarevu for a fishing expedition on the 3rd of this month,
safely reached the Digha coast in West Bengal after 23 days. Upon their arrival in their native village of Odalarevu after a long 24-hour journey by road from West Bengal, their families were overcome with joy, shedding tears of happiness as they embraced them. Amalapuram MP Ganti Harish Madhur welcomed and felicitated the seven fishermen. MP Harish Madhur grandly felicitated and expressed gratitude to the fishermen from West Bengal who had rescued the local fishermen at sea and brought them safely back to shore. Overjoyed at their safe return, family members performed prayers at the village's Durgamma temple. Family members and women expressed their happiness by tying 'Rakhi' to the fellow fishermen from West Bengal who had rescued and safely brought back their loved ones.
The event was attended by State Kshatriya Corporation Director Dendukuri Satthibabu Raju, AP Fishermen Cooperative Societies Federation Chairman Kollu Peddiraju, Fisheries Department JD Karunakar, RDO Saraladevi, FDO Sivaramakrishna, Marine CI M.V.V.S.N. Murthy, SI Sampath Kumar, Mandal Revenue Officer Adapa Subrahmanyam, Kollu Vishnumurthy, BJP leader Nalla Pavan Kumar, Janasena leaders Kalvakolanu Tataji and Kankipati Veerababu, along with a large number of villagers and alliance leaders.
