Konatala Venkata Apparao, President of the Visakhapatnam South Constituency Telugu Desam BC Cell, welcomed the alliance government's decision in the Assembly to provide 34% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections. He noted that while Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had originally introduced reservations in local bodies to foster the political empowerment of BCs, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is continuing that legacy by encouraging BCs across all sectors and creating numerous opportunities for their advancement. He hailed the government's decision to appoint Ramadevi—a BC activist from the Vaddera community—as an MLC, thereby giving her a seat in the legislature. He stated that this move instills hope and confidence among ordinary party workers that hard work will inevitably lead to opportunities for everyone. Consequently, every TDP worker is committed to working hard to ensure the alliance government returns to power in 2029; BC leader Nookaraju is also dedicated to this effort.
