Amalapuram:IndianNews:Times:Amalapuram Municipal Commissioner V. Nirmal Kumar has launched a new initiative aimed at swiftly resolving the issues faced by town residents. With the goal of delivering services directly to the people, special grievance sessions are being held from Monday to Friday (4:30 PM to 5:30 PM) at the 'Swarna' ward offices, allowing locals to present their concerns directly to the Commissioner and municipal officials. The program is scheduled to cover one 'Swarna' ward each day. Officials receive petitions from local residents and issue immediate instructions to staff for their resolution. The initiative kicked off on Monday at the Metla Colony 'Swarna' ward, where seven petitions were received from residents of the 1st and 30th wards.

The complaints primarily concerned street lighting, drinking water supply, the construction of roads and drains, and other related issues.  Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner V. Nirmal Kumar stated that residents need not visit the municipal office to voice their grievances; instead, they can submit their petitions directly to the Commissioner and other municipal officials during visits to local wards. He assured that special attention would be paid to these petitions to ensure their speedy resolution and urged the public to make the most of this opportunity. Municipal DEE K.V.V. Satyanarayana, along with Municipal AEEs, town planning officials, and staff from the revenue and public health departments, participated in the program.
