Respecting the mother tongue is respecting our culture” — Members of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti who celebrated Telugu Language Day in a grand manner, commemorating the glory of the Telugu language*

Visakhaptnam :Indian News Times:Telugu Language Day was celebrated in a grand manner under the auspices of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti today (Saturday) morning at the Telugu Mother Statue at KBR Junction, Ukkunagaram.

The program began with devotion at 6.30 am with Omkaram, Vedic recitation, Sai Gayatri and Bhajans. Later, speakers addressed the history, glory, uniqueness and changes that have taken place over time in the program.

Referring to the changes in the Telugu language as the influence of English increased, they stated that it is everyone's responsibility to protect and respect the mother tongue.

On this occasion, the speakers specially recalled the immense love shown by Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the Telugu language. It was stated that Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the incarnation of the Lord, expressed his immense love for the Telugu language by giving speeches in Telugu, singing bhajans in Telugu, starting Bal Vikas training that expounded human values ​​in Telugu, writing in Telugu, and writing letters in Telugu, and that he stood as an example for all Telugu people.

They also remembered the invaluable services of Sri C. P. Brown, Sri Rangachari and Sri Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy who made special contributions to the development of the Telugu language. They especially praised the services provided by Sri Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy to the practical language movement.

On this occasion, members of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti sang the famous song ‘Maa Telugu Talliki Mallepudanda’ written by Sri Shankarambadi Sundarachari, praising the glory of Telugu Mother and the culture of Telugu language.

Sri Sathya Sai Visakhapatnam District Service Department Coordinator R. A. Naidu, Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Seva Samiti Convener Sanyasi Raju, K. S. N. Raju, G. Ramakrishna, Ravikumar, K. V. Ramana, K. V. L. N. Reddy, V. Krishna, Prakash, Vindula Varahalu, Shyam, Ramachandra Rao, Venu and others participated in this program.

Finally, the program ended with the offering of Mangala Aarti to Telugu Mother amidst devotion.
