Visakhapatnam:Indian News Times:The Department of Biochemistry, St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, in collaboration with IQAC, is organising a Two-Day International Conference on “Recent Advances in Biological Sciences” on 10 and 11 September 2026 at the College Seminar Hall.The conference will focus on the contemporary theme, “Environmental Challenges and Human Health: Integrating Science for a Sustainable Future.” The conference aims to provide a platform for discussions on environmental protection, human health and sustainable development from a scientific perspective.The conference brochure was released on 20 August 2026 by Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji P.D. Vice Principal Dr. Sr. Hema, IQAC Coordinator Dr. T. Bhaskara Sudha, Conference Convenor and Head, Department of Biochemistry Dr. P. Mary Anupama, and Co-Convenor Dr. Mousami Shankar Addala were present. Organising Committee members Dr. E. Harini, Dr. D. Aditya Deepthi, Dr. S. Deepthi, Mrs. A. Mary Vijaya Ratna, Dr. D. Koteswara Rao and Mrs. M. V. Lakshmi Prasanna also participated in the programme.Speaking on the occasion, the Principal appreciated the selection of the relevant theme focusing on the pressing concerns of the environment and human health. She said that the conference would provide a valuable platform for students, research scholars, academicians, scientists and industry professionals to share their research and ideas.The conference will include paper and poster presentations in both online and offline modes.
