NewDelhi in association with HQ Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam. The RPSA wasinaugurated on 08th September, 2026 by Shri Ande Poshetty, IDAS IFA, Eastern NavalCommand, Vizag. 3. Chief Guest Shri Ande Poshetty, IDAS, IFA, ENC, Vizag mentioned thatSPARSH is a Government of India initiative to streamline pension sanction anddisbursement for over 32 lakh defence pensioners. It is one of the largest DBTprogrammes under Digital India initiative. It is one of the example of less governmentmore governance. Through SPARSH, first-time pension payments are now processedwithin one to two days of retirement. SPARSH has enabled disbursement of OROP to18 lakh eligible pensioners in a record time of 15 days. PCDA (P) is in pursuit toleveraging technology for social good, streamlining critical pension services for thosewho have served our nation. By reducing processing times and implementing digital solution, the PCDA (P) is ensuring timely and transparent pension disbursement whilesetting new benchmarks in public service delivery.
