FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR TWO LIMITED HEIGHT SUBWAYS BETWEEN ICHCHAPURAM–JHADUPUDI AND ICHCHAPURAM–SURLA ROAD*
Visakhapatnam- Indian News Times Projects sanctioned at a total cost of ₹6.46 Crore to enhance safety, connectivity and convenience for road users
The foundation stone for the construction of two Limited Height Subways (LHS) between Ichchapuram–Jhadupudi and Ichchapuram–Surla Road stations was laid today by Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation Shri K. Ram Mohan Naidu.
The two Limited Height Subways are being constructed with the objective of enhancing safety, convenience and ease of movement for the general public and road users in the region. The facilities will provide safer alternatives for road users to cross the railway line, while facilitating smoother movement and contributing to improved connectivity and overall safety.
Hon’ble MLA, Ichchapuram, Shri Ashok Bendalam, District Collector Shri Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar, ADRM (Operations) Shri K. Rama Rao and other officers of South Coast Railway were present on the occasion.The construction of these two LHS sanctioned in 2024 for which ₹6.46 Crores sanctioned.
South Coast Railway focused on enhancing safety, improving road connectivity and providing greater convenience to the public and road users.
