Visakhapatnam- Indian News Times- September14,2026:Hindi Diwas was celebrated with enthusiasm at St. Joseph’s College for Women, Gnanapuram, on September 14, 2026, under the auspices of the Hindi Department.
Dr. Lakshmi, Hindi Acharya, V.S. Krishna College, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. S. Deepti, Lecturer in Hindi, also participated in the programme and encouraged the students.
To create greater awareness and interest in Hindi language and literature, several literary and cultural competitions, including debate, essay writing, poetry recitation and quiz competitions, were conducted for the students. The students participated enthusiastically and showcased their literary talent and creativity.
On the occasion, the department’s student magazine ‘Pratibha’ was released, providing a platform for students to express their literary and creative abilities. Sudheepa and Priya presented Hindi poems highlighting the significance of Hindi Diwas.
Prizes were distributed to the winners by the Chief Guest and the organisers, who appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation.
The celebrations served as an enriching platform for promoting Hindi language and
literature among students while encouraging their communication skills, creativity and literary expression.
