Allavaram-Indian News Times -As the term of the Mandal Parishad governing body was set to conclude on the 23rd of this month, a grand farewell and felicitation ceremony was held on Monday, presided over by Mandal Development Officer Gouri Kumari. Speaking on the occasion, MPP Seshagiri Rao remarked that official positions are not permanent and one should not enter politics solely for the sake of holding office. He emphasized that if administration is driven by the goal of public service, the people will never forget the leaders; instead, they will hold them close to their hearts and continue to support them.
He noted that a Mandal where public representatives and officials work in coordination always moves towards development. He acknowledged the support and affection shown by the people of the Mandal during his tenures as Sarpanch of East Lanka, MPTC member, Chairman of the Allavaram Marketing Committee, and MPP of Allavaram. The MPP stated that since assuming office, he had executed various development works with the cooperation and assistance of former Minister Viswaroop, former MP Chinta Anuradha, and the current MLA, Anand Rao. Several MPTC members praised MPP Seshagiri Rao, describing him as a mild-mannered and controversy-free leader who served the public irrespective of party or religious affiliations. They highlighted the pivotal role he played in coordinating between officials and public representatives. Initially, ZPTC member Konuku Gautami and Vice-MPPs Vaddi Ganga and Muthyala Venkata Ramakrishna felicitated MPP Seshagiri Rao and the MPTC members with shawls and flower garlands. Subsequently, the MPTC members demonstrated their affection by grandly honoring MPP Seshagiri Rao with a massive garland (*gajamala*). Raj Kumar, Tahsildar Adapa Subrahmanyam, CDPO Ramadevi, Ainavilli MPDO Sarovararao, TDP Mandal Presidents Dendukuri Satibaburaju and Kankipati Veerababu, along with other public representatives, officials, former Sarpanches, Panchayat Secretaries, Secretariat employees, Mandal Praja Parishad staff, and YSRCP activists. MPP Seshagiri Rao and MPDO Gouri Kumari honored journalists—who act as a bridge between the public and the authorities and strive to resolve public issues—by draping shawls around them. Vasamsetti Narasimharao, Sadhanala Venkatarao, Thota Sridevi Narasimharao, Rakapu Vijayalakshmi, Barre Sitaratnam, Chitnidi Sridevi, Chinta Ramakrishna, and others participated in this program.
