Visakhapatnam -Indian News Times -The Sri Swami Vivekananda Voluntary Service Organization organized grand three-day celebrations for Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Vamsi Krishna Srinivas,
the MLA for the South constituency, attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the festivities. Following the inauguration, rituals were performed to honor the sacred cow (Gomata), and prayers were offered to Lord Sri Krishna. The Vivekananda organization also conducted a
Maha Annadanam* (mass food donation) program. A special highlight of the celebrations was the reenactment of the scene where Vasudeva carries the infant Sri Krishna across the Yamuna River. Speaking on the occasion, Vamsi Krishna commended the Vivekananda organization for its dedication to spiritual activities, social service, mass food donation drives, and health camps, noting their commitment to the principle that "Service to humanity is service to God." He remarked that the reenactment of Vasudeva carrying Sri Krishna was truly magnificent. The event was attended by the organization's president Apparao, prominent social worker Venugopal, Smt. Kolli Simhachalam, 39th Ward Ex-Corporator Sadiq, and leaders of the alliance.
