Visakhapatnam- Indian News Times -TheAU Department of Chemical Engineering, AU College of Engineering (A), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, organized Teachers’ Day Celebrations on 05 September 2026 at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Auditorium. The programme was organized by the students with the guidance and support of the faculty members.
Prof. K. Venkata Subbaiah, Hon’ble Principal, AU College of Engineering (A), Andhra University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The programme was organized to commemorate Teachers’ Day and to recognize academic excellence, merit and student achievements. On the occasion, various merit scholarships, memorial awards, GATE achievement awards and scholarships for economically deserving students were presented to deserving students.
Various memorial scholarships and awards supported by alumni, retired professors, faculty members and well-wishers were also presented to deserving students. As part of the celebrations, cash prizes were presented to the students who secured the first to ninth positions in the Poster Making Competition, encouraging creativity and technical awareness among the students.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, students, alumni, donors and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the Teachers’ Day Celebrations.
