Visakhapatnam- VMRDADeck-Restoration works are in full swing following a derailment incident at Kovvuru Railway Station in Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway, today (11.09.2026) which affected train services in the section for a few hours.
Under the guidance of the General Manager, South Coast Railway, Shri Sandeep Mathur restoration works commenced immediately with the arrival of an Accident Relief Train and officials. The restoration works are being carried out on a war footing. However, the train services resumed from 09.28 hrs in down-line and up-line services will also commence shortly.
Following the derailment, passenger train has been cancelled on 11 September 2026:
Train No. 67285 – Rajahmundry–Visakhapatnam Passenger and Train No. 67286 – Visakhapatnam–Rajahmundry Passenger, leaving Visakhapatnam on 11 September 2026, is cancelled.
