Visakhapatnam- Indian News Times -As Vinayaka Chaturthi approaches, the students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatnam, are giving a meaningful expression to the spirit of the festival by combining devotion, environmental responsibility, service and reverence for India’s rich cultural traditions.
Inspired by the School Convener, Management, Principal, teachers and staff of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, the students personally crafted eco-friendly Ganesha idols with natural clay on the school premises.
Today,they lovingly distributed the idols to residents in the immediate vicinity of the school in MVP Colony, spreading the joy of the festival along with a message of environmental consciousness.
Even as rains lashed the area, the children's enthusiasm remained undiminished. Under umbrellas and with the guidance of their teachers, they continued distributing their handmade Ganesha idols with devotion and affection.
Their spirit deeply touched the local residents, who warmly appreciated the initiative and accepted the idols with reverence.
The School Convener, Governing Body members, Principal and staff appreciated the students for their concern for the environment and for upholding India's rich cultural and spiritual traditions through meaningful action.
Education is not merely knowledge from books; it is the practice of values, love for nature and service to society.”A beautiful celebration where devotion met environmental responsibility, and education blossomed into service.
