The coastal city of Visakhapatnam witnessed a vibrant fitness celebration on Sunday morning. With the objective of creating awareness among the public about health, physical fitness, and the eradication of narcotic drugs, the prestigious ‘Mana Run 2026’ South Edition Mega Marathon, jointly organised by Network18 and News18 Telugu, was grandly flagged off at the iconic RK Beach Road.

Visakhapatnam -Indian News Times -After the event received an overwhelming response from thousands of participants in Hyderabad, the fitness celebration has now energized the people of Visakhapatnam amidst the cool sea breeze. From the early hours of Sunday, RK Beach Road was bustling with runners, sportspersons, youth and students. Principal Chief Operations Manager Shri Vineet Kumar of South Coast Railway and other officials also took part in the marathon. 

The chief guests flagged off the run, while the shoreline reverberated with enthusiastic slogans and cheers.

Thousands of runners, city dignitaries and walkers enthusiastically participated in the run. Cash prizes of up to ₹1 lakh, along with certificates of appreciation and medals, were presented to the winners.

Medical camps and water points were arranged for the convenience of the runners. The event received an overwhelming response and marked a significant step towards transforming Visakhapatnam into a Fitness Capital.
