Razole -Indian News Times -TDP leaders in the Razole constituency organized a protest to mark the completion of three years since the illegal arrest of Telugu Desam Party National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Under the leadership of Razole constituency in-charge and TDP state official spokesperson Gollapalli Amulya, a candle-light protest was held on Wednesday evening at the TDP headquarters in Sivakoti village and on the main road near the Sivakodu locks.
Speaking on the occasion, Gollapalli Amulya expressed her outrage, noting that Nara Chandrababu Naidu was unjustly and illegally arrested and imprisoned for 53 days while serving as the Leader of the Opposition; she stated that a leader who deeply cares for the people was subjected to harassment due to political vendetta. She mentioned that TDP cadres and the public across the state had experienced deep anguish and anger at the time of Chandrababu's arrest. Amulya asserted that the arrest violated democratic values and stated that the people's voice cannot be suppressed by filing cases against or arresting a former Chief Minister with an unblemished record. She described Chandrababu Naidu as a leader who always strives to resolve public issues and ensure the state's development. She added that TDP cadres have not forgotten the day of the arrest and recalled the distress felt by party workers and supporters at that time. They pointed out that the court and the ED had ultimately given him a clean chit because he had committed no wrongdoing. They stated that TDP cadres would continue their protests regarding the cases filed against Chandrababu Naidu and the circumstances of his arrest.
During a candlelight protest, TDP leaders and activists expressed their solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu and voiced their protest through slogans. Leaders called upon TDP activists to stand united in the defense of democracy. A large number of people participated in the event, including State Road Development Corporation Director Mudunuri Chinnababu Raju; Mandal party presidents Anusuri Sunitha Rama Purushotham, Adabala Saibabu, Tadi Satyanarayana, Bolla Venkataramana, Pitani Bhaskar, Kasukurthi Trinadha Swamy, Kotipalli Ratnamala, Arumalli Bhanu, Pappula Ramesh, Gonipati Raju, and Kadali Yedukondalu; as well as local TDP leaders, activists, and supporters.
