Unnecessary Uproar Over Pikeleru Drain Development Works is Unwarranted: Tadikona Paddy and Aqua Farmers MLA Aitabathula Anandarao Strives for the Development of Tadikona Farmers...

Allavaram- Indian News Times -Paddy and aqua farmers of Tadikona village stated that some individuals are creating an unnecessary uproar regarding the development works of the Pikeleru drain in Allavaram Mandal. They urged YCP members to desist from criticizing and spreading malicious propaganda against MLA Aitabathula Anandarao, who is working with the sole aim of development.

A meeting of paddy and aqua farmers was held at the residence of Tadikona farmer Gosangi Stalin Babu. Speaking on the occasion, Stalin Babu acknowledged the existence of issues with the drain and noted that farmers had refrained from sowing crops due to a lack of remunerative returns;

he pointed out that this decision applied not just to the area around that specific drain, but to the entire village, affecting farmers across all three local drains. He mentioned that when the matter was brought to the attention of Amalapuram MLA Aitabathula Anandarao, he took measures to resolve the issue. Nookala Bulli Naidu stated that the claim of a "crop holiday" in Tadikona was false; instead, the farmers had collectively decided to skip the first crop season in favor of sowing the second crop earlier. He remarked that some individuals were making allegations for their own selfish interests.

 It was noted that while the initial plan called for excavating 500 meters of drainage, 900 meters were dug due to the initiative taken by MLA Anand Rao; however, the remaining 300-meter stretch was left undug because it involved *jirayati* (private agricultural) land where aquaculture farmers had already stocked their crops—unlike the paddy farmers who had not yet sown—placing the aquaculture ponds right in the path of the proposed drain. Speaking on the occasion, Sadhanala Govindu Raju stated that MLA Aitabatula Anand Rao is striving for the development of Tadikona farmers and mentioned that the village's paddy and aquaculture farmers would meet to discuss the matter. He also warned the YSRCP to desist from spreading malicious propaganda and false news against MLA Anand Rao. Farmers Gosangi Prasanna Kumar, Sunkara Venkateswara Rao, Nagababu, Sadhanala Ramesh, and Sirangu Satyanarayana participated in the event.
