Amalapuram/Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times -Vanteddu Venkannayudu stated that the voter survey required under GO 1113 was not conducted; he termed it illegal for municipal officials to finalize ward reservations—designed entirely to favor the ruling party—without visiting households in the wards or completing the actual survey.

He observed that the conduct of municipal officials ahead of the upcoming municipal elections clearly violates established regulations. He noted that GO MS No. 1113 required officials to visit every ward between the 8th and 12th of the month, transparently visit every household, count voters across SC, ST, BC, OC, and female categories, and determine ward reservations based on that report. He pointed out that despite the survey deadline having passed, there was no evidence of officials visiting the wards. He criticized the practice of officials sitting in their offices—ignoring ground-level data and acting at the behest of the ruling party to manipulate the reservation list—as a complete violation of rules. He demanded the immediate cancellation of the current survey process and called for a proper door-to-door survey to finalize ward reservations fairly.
