YCP spreading false propaganda, unable to stomach Visakhapatnam's development* *One should speak after ascertaining the facts: MLA Vamsikrishna Srinivas*

Visakhapatnam -Janasena Party Visakhapatnam City President and South Constituency MLA, Mr. Vamsikrishna Srinivas, stated that development in Andhra Pradesh has gained new momentum since the alliance government assumed power, with key projects like Polavaram, Veligonda, the Bhogapuram International Airport, and the Beach Corridor moving forward.

He criticized YCP leaders for attempting to create unnecessary fears and misconceptions among the public, unable to tolerate the ongoing development works.

"YCP leaders should introspect on why their party's standing plummeted from 151 seats to just 11. Had they delivered the development the people needed, such a situation would not have arisen. Even now, they should speak constructively about the issues facing the public," Vamsikrishna suggested.

*Stop false propaganda regarding the data center*

The MLA reacted strongly to the social media campaign claiming that the data centers proposed for Visakhapatnam would cause water shortages for the city.

"It is inappropriate to spread rumors about water issues before the data center has even fully commenced operations. State IT Minister Nara Lokesh has already provided a clear explanation regarding this matter in the Assembly. The government has clarified that water will be supplied to the data centers through dedicated allocations and pipelines, ensuring there is no disruption to the drinking water supply for the city's residents," he said.  “Claiming that drinking water meant for the people of Visakhapatnam is being diverted to data centers is malicious political propaganda. If there is an issue, one should speak only after examining the facts. People should refrain from spreading misinformation on social media that incites fear and anxiety,” said Vamsikrishna.

*Need to understand the facts regarding the water issue at MVV City*

The MLA stated that it is inappropriate to level political allegations regarding the water crisis at MVV City without first ascertaining the facts.

“It has come to our attention that the builder has outstanding dues regarding bulk water supply, causing difficulties for the residents there. Ultimately, it is the common people who suffer when construction and sales take place without fully providing basic amenities,” he said.

“Relevant officials must conduct a thorough inquiry into this matter and bring the facts to light. If wrongdoing is established, strict legal action must be taken against those responsible. If necessary, legal action should also be taken against the builder to ensure such situations do not recur in the future,” Vamsikrishna demanded.

“It is common knowledge that a leader from your party played a role in the MVV City project. You should understand the actual situation there before speaking. It is improper to blame the government without identifying who is truly responsible for the problem,” he said, addressing YCP leaders.  *YCP leaders need to introspect regarding local body elections*

The MLA stated that, in light of the upcoming local body elections, YCP leaders themselves need to introspect on the party's standing in the North Andhra region.

"There have been reports that Chiranjeevi Nag, son of former Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, remarked that YCP would not win a single seat in Srikakulam district. It appears that party leaders themselves are speaking openly about the party's internal affairs," he said.

"YCP leaders need to reflect on whether they are losing public confidence and where the party has weakened at the grassroots level. While contesting elections is a right every party has in a democracy, one must be prepared to respect the people's verdict," Vamsikrishna said.

"There is criticism that the YCP high command is focusing more on political objectives other than local issues and the local body elections. Local leadership, however, needs to engage with the public and understand the ground realities," he suggested.

*Focus on facts rather than false propaganda*

"Spreading false propaganda that hinders Visakhapatnam's development serves no public interest. We are ready to provide the public with full information regarding every development initiative undertaken by the government. At the same time, if there is a genuine issue, the government will respond and provide a solution."

"Therefore, YCP leaders should set aside false propaganda and social media misconceptions, understand the facts, and act constructively in the public interest," said MLA Vamsikrishna Srinivas.
