104th MES Day Celebrations at Naval Base, Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam-Indian News- Times Naval Base, Visakhapatnam on 28–29 September 2026 with a series of activities highlighting the vital role of the Military Engineer Services 

(MES) in supporting infrastructure development and operational preparedness of the 

Indian Armed Forces.

The celebrations featured User and Technical Awareness Seminars and a Product 

Exhibition, providing an opportunity for enhanced technical interaction, knowledge 

sharing and awareness of contemporary engineering solutions and practices.

On the occasion, Vice Admiral Susheel Menon, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Staff, Eastern 

Naval Command, interacted with MES personnel and appreciated their dedicated efforts 

and professional contribution towards enhancing the operational capability of the Armed 

Forces. The significant contribution of Shri Pankaj Tyagi, Chief Engineer (N), 

Visakhapatnam and MES personnel towards infrastructure augmentation, maintenance 

of critical assets and operational preparedness of Eastern Naval Command was also 

acknowledged and appreciated.

The celebrations reaffirmed the commitment of MES towards providing robust, reliable 

and responsive engineering support to meet the infrastructure and operational 

requirements of the Armed Forces.
