Allavaram: Indian News Times:In accordance with state government directives and ICDS guidelines, grand celebrations were held at Anganwadi Center No. 57 in the Indira Colony of Godilanka village, Allavaram Mandal. The event, organized by Center Teacher Shettibathula Ratnakumari, marked the completion of 51 years of the Anganwadi system—successfully concluding five decades and stepping into the sixth.

She took the opportunity to explain the importance of child health principles, nutrition, pre-primary education (incorporating play and activities), and environmental hygiene. She also provided detailed awareness regarding the precautions to be taken by nursing mothers, the special dietary habits to be followed by pregnant women, and the necessary attention to health. Leela Kumari specifically appreciated the services provided by the Anganwadi staff.

Recognizing the need to honor experienced staff, the mothers of the children, KVPS district leader Shettibathula Tulasi Durga Rao, and village elders felicitated Teacher Shettibathula Ratnakumari—who has managed the Anganwadi center with great responsibility and dedication for the past 36 years—and helper Penumala Bhavani with shawls. Subsequently, ASHA worker Chandra Kala, who provides services to mothers, children, and nursing mothers, was honored. Several mothers who diligently send their children to the Anganwadi center every day were also recognized and felicitated with shawls during the event.
