Visakhapatnam, 7th October 2026: In view of the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the weekend holidays, South Coast Railway has decided to operate additional special train services on the Secunderabad–Kakinada Town and Guntur–Vikarabad routes to clear the extra rush of passengers.
*SECUNDERABAD–KAKINADA TOWN–SECUNDERABAD SPECIAL TRAIN*
Train No. 07817/07818 Secunderabad–Kakinada Town–Secunderabad Special will be operated for one round trip on 9th and 10th October 2026.
Train No. 07817 Secunderabad–Kakinada Town Special will depart Secunderabad at 19:25 hrs on Friday, 9th October 2026, and arrive at Kakinada Town at 08:00 hrs on Saturday, 10th October 2026.
In the return direction, Train No. 07818 Kakinada Town–Secunderabad Special will depart Kakinada Town at 21:00 hrs on Saturday, 10th October 2026, and arrive at Secunderabad at 08:40 hrs on Sunday, 11th October 2026.
The special train will have commercial stoppages at important stations including Cherlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajamahendravaram, and Samalkot Junction in both directions.
The train will comprise 23 coaches, including 1 First AC-cum-Second AC coach, 16 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches and 2 Second Class-cum-Luggage Rake coaches.
*GUNTUR–VIKARABAD TOD SPECIAL VIA MIRYALAGUDA*
To further cater to the increased passenger demand, South Coast Railway will also operate Train No. 07227/07228 Guntur–Vikarabad–Guntur TOD Special for two round trips via Miryalaguda. The special train will be operated at 1.3 times the applicable fare.
Train No. 07227 Guntur–Vikarabad Special will operate on Thursday, 8th October 2026 and Saturday, 10th October 2026. The train will depart Guntur at 21:45 hrs and arrive at Vikarabad at 05:00 hrs the following morning.
In the return direction, Train No. 07228 Vikarabad–Guntur Special will operate on Friday, 9th October 2026 and Sunday, 11th October 2026. The train will depart Vikarabad at 22:00 hrs and arrive at Guntur at 06:10 hrs the following morning.
The special train will provide convenient commercial stoppages at important stations including Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Nadikude Junction, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Cherlapalli, Secunderabad, Begumpet and HITEC City in both directions.
The train will comprise 22 coaches, including 2- Second AC coaches, 6 Third AC coaches, 8 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Sitting coaches and 2 General Sitting-cum-Luggage Rake coaches.
South Coast Railway has advised passengers to make use of these additional special train services and plan their journeys conveniently during the weekend rush.
