Swachhata Shramdaan Drive Conducted at Duvvada Railway Station and Colony

Visakhapatnam -Indian News Times- October 1, 2026:As part of the ongoing Swachhata campaign, a Shramdaan programme was conducted at Duvvada Railway Station and Railway Colony under the leadership of Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager, Visakhapatnam Division, South Coast Railway.

Senior Divisional officers, including Sr. DEN/Co, Sr. DCM, Sr. DEE/G, DME/EnHM, DEN/South, along with railway officials and staff, actively participated in the cleanliness drive.

During the programme, Safai Karamcharis were felicitated by Shri Lalit Bohra, DRM, in recognition of their dedicated and valuable services in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across railway premises.

As part of the awareness initiative, pamphlets highlighting the importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal and maintaining hygienic surroundings were distributed among passengers and members of the public.

The programme concluded with a plantation drive at the Railway Colony, reinforcing the message of environmental sustainability and encouraging collective responsibility towards creating a cleaner and greener railway environment.

The initiative reflects the commitment of Visakhapatnam Division towards promoting cleanliness, environmental conservation and active participation of railway employees and the public in the Swachhata campaign.
