Allavaram:IndianNewsTimes:Representatives of the Allavaram Mandal unit of the Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Assistants (VRA) Association met MLC Bommi Israel at his camp office in Godi village and submitted a representation outlining their legitimate demands.

They informed MLC Israel that VRAs in the Allavaram Mandal headquarters have been conducting a non-cooperation strike for the past 18 days and urged the government to take measures to resolve their issues.
They explained to the MLC that their primary demands include the sanctioning of a proper pay scale, the regularization of VRAs working as nominees, and the provision of promotions for eligible VRAs. They appealed for job security—given their long-standing service—and the resolution of their legitimate grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Bommi Israel noted that VRAs provide crucial services bridging the gap between the public and the government in rural areas. He urged the government to respond immediately to their legitimate demands and resolve the issues.  He stated that the government needs to respond positively to issues such as the pay scale of VRAs, the regularization of nominee VRAs, promotions for eligible VRAs, and job security. MLC Bommi Israel assured the VRAs that, if necessary, he would raise this matter prominently in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on behalf of the YSR Congress Party. He urged the government to hold immediate discussions and resolve their legitimate demands so that the strike could be called off.
