Amalapuram: Indian News Times :Residents of Geddanapalli village—comprising 250 families within the Katrenikona Mandal of the Mummidivaram constituency—staged a protest in front of the Collector's office, highlighting the lack of an access road to their village. They criticized politicians, asking how the road issue could go unnoticed by them when they frequently visit seeking votes during elections. The villagers expressed their anger, stating that politicians come only for votes but remain indifferent to the hardships faced by the residents. Gathering at the Collectorate, they voiced their anguish to the media, questioning whether their village actually exists within the panchayat's records or if there are any officials responsible for it. They submitted a formal representation to the Collector, urging officials to respond immediately, lay the necessary road, and earn the goodwill of the people. A large number of villagers participated in this protest.
