A preparatory meeting was held at the Visakhapatnam district office of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday to prepare the party ranks for the upcoming local body elections in the state.
The meeting, chaired by BJP District President Parasurama Raju, was attended by BJP State Election Committee members and Etcherla MLAs N. Eswar Rao and Adari Anand.
BJP State President Shri PVN Madhav, who was the chief guest for the event, met with the party aspirants and leaders and gave directions on the upcoming election strategy.
Speaking on the occasion, PVN Madhav said:Coalition victories - BJP strength: He called for the BJP to show its strength in this, saying that these are the first local body elections being held after the formation of the coalition government in the state.
Field level strengthening: The number of aspirants contesting in Visakhapatnam district is huge, and everyone hoping for a ticket should go to the ward/booth level and work to strengthen the party.
Promotion of central and state schemes: With the ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the support of the central government, the welfare schemes being implemented in the state and the benefits provided to the beneficiaries should be explained door to door.
Fighting public issues: He asked to widely publicize the successes achieved by the coalition government by identifying local issues and standing by the people.
BJP Assembly Floor Leader Shri P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, State Secretaries K. Surendra Mohan, Joint Sujatha, State Treasurer M. Nagendra, State Social Media Convener Keshav Kant, Visakhapatnam District In-charge Reddy Pavani, along with a large number of leaders and activists participated.
