Visakhapatnam : Indian News Times:August 5, 2026 Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager, DRM, Visakhapatnam Division, South Coast Railway, conducted a Safety Seminar at Visakhapatnam with officers, supervisors, Safety Counsellors, and staff of the Operating, Loco, Engineering, and Signal & Telecommunication Departments to reinforce safety awareness and operational discipline.
During the seminar, the DRM emphasized that safety remains the highest priority of Indian Railways and urged all employees to strictly adhere to safety procedures in every aspect of railway operations.
Key topics discussed included safety precautions at worksites, prevention of Hot Axle and Brake Binding cases, safety responsibilities of Loco Pilots, Assistant Loco Pilots and Train Managers, safety norms during shunting operations, procedures to be followed by Station Masters and Signal staff during signalling failures, and safe execution of engineering works by IOW staff to ensure the safe passage of trains.
The seminar concluded with a call for continuous vigilance, teamwork, and strict compliance with safety rules to ensure safe, secure, and punctual train operations across the Division.
