Three-Day Faculty Development Programme on Artificial Intelligence at St. Joseph’s College for Women

Visakhapatnam:Indian News Times:August 1: St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, in association with the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics, is organizing a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Empowering Educators and Researchers with Artificial Intelligence: An Interdisciplinary Learning” from 5th to 7th August 2026.

The programme is being conducted in collaboration with Andhra University under RUSA 2.0 as part of the Andhra University Centenary Celebrations.


The brochure for the FDP was released by the Principal, Dr. Sr. Shyji P.D., in the presence of the faculty members of the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sr. Shyji P.D. emphasized that Artificial Intelligence is bringing transformative changes to education and research. She stated that such Faculty Development Programmes equip educators and researchers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively integrate AI-enabled technologies into teaching, learning, and research.


The FDP will bring together faculty members and researchers from colleges affiliated with Andhra University. Participants will receive expert training on AI-powered teaching methodologies, AI applications in research, advanced digital tools, and interdisciplinary approaches to learning from eminent resource persons.

The college management has invited faculty members and researchers to make use of this valuable learning opportunity and enhance their academic and research competencies through this programme
