AmalapuramIndian: News Times.:Bonthu Ramana approached the High Court to remove the statues of Dommeti Venkata Reddy and Kudipudi Chittabhai, which were erected on both sides of the road in Amalapuram town without any permission. Responding to this, the Honorable High Court asked for a counter-filing. A committee was formed with the District Collector and officials on this. Bonthu Ramana demanded the immediate removal of the unauthorized statues.
In 2024, when the then Collector Himanshu Shukla complained in his response that the statues of Dommeti Venkata Reddy and Kudipudi Chittabhai, which were erected without any permission, were being removed due to the constant traffic in the High School Center in Amalapuram town, he clarified that he had not given any permission for them. However, he said that he had approached the High Court in the public interest. Bonthu Ramana issued a press release demanding the immediate removal of these two statues, which are causing traffic problems.
